Fine Arts

Typical Visual Arts courses include Ceramics, Drawing and Painting. Students are given the opportunity to display their work throughout campus and in various art showcases. 
 

Students will learn fundamental music principles, performance and practice techniques, and individual playing skills. Classes may also encompass marching band, concert band, pep band, jazz band, and solo & ensemble groups.

The Jaguar Pride marching band performs at many athletic events, competitions, and community events throughout the school year.

This year-long performance class focuses on developing vocal skills, music literacy, and ensemble singing. Students learn proper vocal techniques, sight-reading, and performance skills through a varied repertoire of music, including classical, contemporary, and multicultural pieces.

These classes focus on developing technical skills, exploring different dance genres, and understanding choreographic processes and principles. Students may also study dance history, examine the cultural and social context of dance, and participate in public performances.

Students are provided instruction, focusing on developing fundamental guitar playing skills, including basic chords, strumming patterns, and music theory. Students will also learn how to read music, play basic melodies, and potentially explore different musical styles. 

This class offers students a wide range of creative and academic opportunities, encompassing acting, design, and technical aspects of theatre production. These classes can be introductory, focusing on fundamental skills such as improvisation, script analysis and character development, or more advanced, delving into specific areas like playwriting, directing, and technical theatre.
