Student Support Specialists

The Student Support Specialists focus on building relationships, getting the students involved in school extracurricular activities, and working in specific groups such as coping skills, managing emotions, and grief. They also help students with mediations to solve conflicts more efficiently.  Their goal is to provide a safe place with students when needed. 

Essential Duties:

• Collaborates with district personnel, parents, and outside agencies to meet the needs of identified students
• Supports classroom instruction and models effective practices for staff as needed
• Provides ongoing progress and outcome monitoring
• Attends and participates in a variety of meetings, conferences and in-service trainings as assigned
