What Is West-MEC?

Western Mericopa Education Center allows students to access the innovative Career and Technical Education (CTE) programs that prepare students to enter the workforce and the chance to further their education West-Mec programs provide students the opportunity to earn college credit as well as industry credentials. The mission is to prepare students today for tomorrow's careers.  

  • Empower all students to participate fully in the economy by providing and enhancing CTE
  • Students spend part of their day learning their core subjects at their home school as well as take a career training program at a West-MEC camps. 
  • All West-MEC programs lead to industry certification, preparing students for the workforce and/or post-secondary education.
